Venture into the wildlife wonderlands of Zimbabwe on a journey to be remembered. Starting in Zambezi Sands, you'll have the chance to explore the Zambezi river by inflatable canoe or motorised boats, or discover the wildlife on land with a range of activities. Then journey to Camelthorn Lodge in Hwange National Park on the Elephant Express to discover the 400 species of bird and 107 types of animal that call this park home. Whilst you're here, you're bound to come across what truly defines Hwange, it's population of around 40,000 Elephants.

On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you will be met and transferred to Zambezi Sands River Camp. Zambezi Sands offers a wealth of picturesque game viewing opportunities – whether you chose to Drive or walk – our experienced guides take great pleasure in introducing you to the camp’s pristine and tranquil surroundings. You can even explore the Zambezi River by inflatable canoe or motorised boat. (D)

After breakfast you will be transferred by road to Dete Railway Station near Hwange Main Camp (around two and a half hours) where you will board the Elephant Express rail car for a slow ride down the railway line to Camelthorn Lodge on the south east Hwange National Park boundary. On arrival at Ngamo siding, a game viewing vehicle will transfer you to Camelthorn Lodge. (B)(D)
Enjoy an early morning tea or coffee before heading out on a full day of game viewing inside Hwange National Park. A picnic lunch is served under the trees at Mfagazaan Pan. The afternoon game drive back to the lodge is at a leisurely pace going from pan to pan, arriving back at camp in time to enjoy refreshments at the campfire before dinner. (B)(L)(D)

After breakfast head to nearby Ngamo Village for a village and school tour where you will be able to see some of Imvelo’s community initiative projects. Enjoy a bush brunch followed by a few hours in their underground hide, famous for the close up photos you can take of all the wildlife that comes down to drink. Enjoy an afternoon game drive and walk in Hwange National Park and a last sundowner at one of the magnificent pans before returning to camp for a farewell dinner. (B)(L)(D)
Explore the wilderness one last time on foot, taking a guided early morning walk, returning to camp for breakfast. This morning you will be transferred by light aircraft back to Victoria Falls. (B)
