Continue to Sacramento, the capital city of California. The afternoon will find you at beautiful Lake Tahoe, consistently voted as one of the most beautiful places in the US.
Stop in Lovelock and enjoy a unique visit to Lovers Lock Plaza, where more than a thousand locks symbolise true love. Just before Elko, visit the new California Trails Center, which presents the history of the Gold Rush.
Experience the sights and sounds of the Western Folklife Center and learn more about Cowboy poetry and songs in historic downtown Elko. Twin Falls is near the site where Evel Knievel attempted to jump across the Snake River Canyon in 1974 with a rocket-powered motorcycle.
Continue to Craters of the Moon National Monument. Tonight’s destination is West Yellowstone, Montana’s gateway to Yellowstone National Park.
Drive into Yellowstone National Park to explore the geysers, caldrons, paint pots and lakes. Yellowstone, the first US National Park is known for its wildlife and geothermal features, especially Old Faithful Geyser.
Discover more of Yellowstone’s many wonders before continuing on to Grand Teton National Park, an ethereal mountain landscape where jagged peaks tower above the Jackson Hole valley.
