Day 1


On arrival you will be met and transferred to your beachside hotel for the night.

Day 2


After breakfast depart by road for the Cultural Triangle and check in to your beautiful accommodation, Vil Uyana. The setting and design of this unique property has made it one of Sri Lanka’s most famous hotels. (B)

Day 3


This morning visit the remarkable rock citadel of Sigiriya. In the afternoon, continue to Minneriya National Park, famed for its elephant gatherings in August and September, but offering superb wildlife viewing all year round. (B)

Day 4


This morning take a spectacular hot air balloon ride from Kandalama (Nov-Apr only), taking in jungle scenery, Sigiriya Rock and if lucky - wild elephants. Afterwards you will continue to Kandy and check in to your beautiful accommodation. (B)

Day 5


Take a tour of Kandy city, including the revered Temple of the Tooth; Sri Lanka’s holiest Buddhist shrine. See the colourful town market and in the evening take in a cultural show. (B)

Day 6


This morning take part in a fun cooking demonstration, including shopping for your fresh ingredients at the local market and cooking up a feast of Sri Lankan classics for lunch. Afterwards, continue by road to Hatton and settle in to your beautiful bungalow accommodation on the Dilmah Tea Estate, at the acclaimed Tea Trails. (B)(L)(D)

Day 7


This morning partake in a game of croquet on the estate lawns. Later, join in their Tea Experience, learning firsthand about the teamaking process and sampling the estate’s fine teas. (B)(L)(D)

Day 8


This morning drive down to the coastal lowlands and your accommodation at Yala National Park, the wonderful Wild Coast Tented Lodge. Located in the jungle by the beach adjoining this famous national park, settle into your sumptuous cocoon suite and walk around the property spotting birds and other wildlife. (B)(L)(D)

Day 9


Spend the day on safari in the national park in search of its abundant wildlife. Highlights may include Asiatic elephant, water buffalo, mongoose, bear, crocodile, jackal, cobra and others. Yala has one of the highest concentrations of leopard in the world and is one of the best places to see this magnificent feline. (B)(L)(D)

Day 10


This morning drive along Sri Lanka’s scenic southern coastline and arrive around lunch time at Cape Weligama. This stunning resort is built into a headland overlooking the magnificent beaches and seascapes of this famous coast. Your afternoon is at leisure. (B)

Day 11


Take a tour of the wonderfully preserved Galle Fort and enjoy an afternoon at leisure. (B)

Day 12


On your final full day in Sri Lanka you are free to enjoy Cape Weligama and its beautiful setting, perhaps taking a long beach walk or erelaxing by the pool. (B)

Day 13


This morning, depart for Colombo and transfer to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
