Day 1


On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2

Johannesburg - Mpumalanga

Depart Johannesburg after breakfast and head to Pretoria for a short orientation tour before continuing to the  Mpumalanga Province. After traversing the famous Long Tom Pass, travel via Sabie to Hazyview, the safari hub of Kruger National Park. (B)

Day 3

Mpumalanga (Kruger National Park)

Today explore the spectacular Panorama Route to Blyde River Canyon, home to the Three Rondavels, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and historic God’s Window. (B)

Day 4

Mpumalanga (Kruger National Park)

The day begins with early morning coffee or tea followed by a thrilling open vehicle safari through Kruger National Park. Search for the Big Five - rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard and elephant - as well as prolific birdlife and numerous other game. The afternoon is at leisure at your hotel. (B)

Day 5

Mpumalanga - Swaziland

Travel to Swaziland, an independent kingdom within the borders of South Africa known for its lovely scenery, crafts and colourful indigenous culture. An interactive cultural experience introduces you to the charming people of
Swaziland and their traditions. (B)(L)(D)

Day 6

Swaziland - Zululand

Leave Swaziland and re-enter South Africa. Travel into Zululand, passing traditional round huts and endless vistas. There will be an optional excursion (at own expense) to Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve, famous for
its conservation of black and white rhino. (B)

Day 7

Zululand - Durban

This morning cruise on Lake St Lucia before departing for Durban. The remainder of the day is at leisure. (B)

Day 8

Durban - Port Elizabeth

Transfer to Durban Airport for your flight to Port Elizabeth. Travel to Knysna, exploring the magnificent beauty of the indigenous Tsitsikamma Forest en route. (B)(D)

Day 9


Enjoy a lagoon cruise to the Featherbed Nature Reserve where you can take a trailer ride to the top of Western Head to enjoy panoramic views of the town and lagoon, returning for lunch under the milkwood trees. (B)(L)

Day 10

Knysna - Oudtshoorn

Travel through the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn, known as the ‘ostrich capital’ and the centre of the world’s ostrich farming industry. Visit an Ostrich Farm for a guided tour and lunch before taking a tour of the spectacular limestone caverns of the Cango Caves. (B)(L)

Day 11

Oudtshoorn - Franschhoek

This morning you may choose to take an early morning Meerkat Safari (optional and at own expense). After breakfast, visit a local farm school before travelling to Montagu, a historic spa town. Continue to Franschhoek, a
picturesque village surrounded by spectacular vineyards. (B)

Day 12

Franschhoek - Cape Town

Enjoy a morning tour of Franschhoek and wine tasting before continuing to Cape Town. (B)(D)

Day 13

Cape Town

Today enjoy a full day tour of the Cape Peninsula. Drive through Sea Point, Hout Bay and then on to Cape Point. Return to Cape Town via Simon’s Town, Fish Hoek fishing village and Muizenberg. (B)

Day 14

Cape Town

Enjoy some last minute sightseeing (at own expense). We highly recommend the Robben Island Tour. Transfer to the airport, harbour or railway station for your onward journey. (B)
