Depart Kathmandu for the six hour scenic drive to Pokhara (flight option is available). Pokhara is a place of remarkable natural beauty. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence of the fishtailed summit of Machhapuchhre create an ambience of peace and magic.
Begin the day with sightseeing around Pokhara. Gupteshwor Cave is nearly three kilometres long and holds special value for Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved here. The colourful bazaar is home to one of Pokhara’s most important shrines. This afternoon you may wish to take a rowing boat out on Phewa Lake. (B)
Today take a walk of about six hours from Sarangkot to Naudanda. From Sarangkot, on a clear day, the panoramic ranges of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre and Ganesh Himal can be observed in full glory, with a wonderful view of Phewa Lake on the other side. Enjoy village activities, terrace landscapes and mountain views on the walk to Naudanda. After completing the walk, drive back to Pokhara. Note: the other option for today is a walk to the Gurung village of Kalabang village. (B)
After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu. (B)
