On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. This afternoon visit the Semenggoh Wildlife Orang-Utan Conservation Centre and enjoy a river cruise on a traditional boat. (D)
Explore the national park at the mouth of the Bako River. (B)(L)
Visit the Bidayuh Longhouse and observe the lifestyle of the tribal communities. This afternoon walk to the nearby market for an interactive cooking class. (B)
Visit the Santubong Peninsula for a boat tour of the mangroves. After a local lunch, visit the Sarawak Cultural Village. This award-winning living museum showcases Sarawak’s unique and diverse cultures in an accessible, visitorfriendly setting. (B)(L)
Transfer to Kuching airport for your flight to Kota Kinabalu.
This afternoon spend some time sightseeing in Kota Kinabalu. (B)
Visit Sabah Wetland Mangrove Forest and enjoy a walk through the mangroves. This afternoon, discover the local tribes at Mari Mari Cultural Village. (B)(D)
Today head to Kinabalu Park. The first stop is Kundasang War Memorial. This was one of the first memorials to commemorate the Australian and British Prisoners of War who died in Sandakan during the infamous death marches during World War II. Head to Poring Hot Springs. Visit the nearby Kipungit Waterfall or trek on a nature trail that leads to a canopy walk. After lunch, journey to Sabah Tea Plantation to learn how tea is harvested and processed. Proceed to Sabah Tea House for high tea. (B)(L)
Continue your journey to Sandakan. On arrival, enjoy lunch at the English Tea House. In the afternoon, proceed to Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary. (B)(L)
Today visit the world’s largest Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre, Sepilok. Depart for Kinabatangan River. (B)(L)(D)
Wake up to the calls of hornbills and other exotic birds and proceed to Ox Bow Lake to observe wildlife and experience the early morning river. After breakfast embark on a trek in the surrounding jungle. This afternoon take another river cruise upstream of the Kinabatangan River to search for more wildlife. After dinner enjoy a night cruise on the Kinabatangan River, one of the most exciting and adventurous trips you will take while staying here. (B)(L)(D)
Head back to Sandakan and transfer to airport. (B)

For each new Borneo (please confirm) booking made, Adventure World Travel will commit to a one-year sponsorship of an orangutan in need at the BOSF. This sponsorship assists with food, specialised care and support for the orangutans at the sanctuary. For each orangutan adopted Adventure World Travel receives a certificate of adoption, history and regular updates of the orangutan they adopt, which can then be shared with booked guests. Established in 1991, BOS Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and reintroduction of Bornean orangutans as well as the conservation of their natural habitat. With the assistance of local government, communities, volunteers and partners, the foundation works to ensure the orangutans are protected, effective reintroduced and monitored.
