Day 1

TEL AVIV

On arrival at Ben Gurion Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Tel Aviv. (D)

Day 2

AMMAN – PETRA

Visit one of the most important archaeological discoveries in modern Jordan, the settlement and region of Bethany (or Bethabara), where John the Baptist lived and baptised. Then, visit historic Mount Nebo. Head toward the “rose red” city of Petra. (B)

Day 3

TEL AVIV – HAIFA – KIBBUTZ

Drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea. Visit the excavations of the ancient city, the Roman theatre and aqueduct. Continue to Megiddo, identified as the site of Armageddon. Continue to Kibbutz for the night. (B)(D)

Day 4

KIBBUTZ – SEA OF GALILEE – KIBBUTZ

After a short tour of Tiberias, enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Visit Yigal Alon Museum where the ‘Jesus Boat’ is displayed. Continue to Capernaum, Tabgha and the Church of Multiplication. Overnight in Kibbutz. (B)(D)

Day 5

KIBBUTZ – JERUSALEM

Drive to Nazareth and visit the Church of Annunciation, St. Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s well. Drive to Yardenit, the baptismal site on the Jordan River. Drive along the Jordan River to Jerusalem. (B)(D)

Day 6

JERUSALEM – OLD CITY

Visit the Church of All Nations, King David’s tomb and the room of the Last Supper on Mount Zion. Enter within the walls of the Old City and visit the Cardo, Temple Mount (entrance to the mosque is not included), Western Wall, Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. (B)(D)

Day 7

JERUSALEM – NEW CITY

Travel to Ein Karem to visit the Church of Visitation. Proceed to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum and visit the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed. Proceed to the Church of Nativity. (B)(D)

Day 8

JERUSALEM – DEAD SEA – JERUSALEM

Visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, and drive along the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on Earth, then to Masada before returning to Jerusalem for the night. (B)(D)

Day 9

JERUSALEM – AMMAN

Transfer to Amman via the Allenby Bridge, check into your hotel in Amman. (B)

Day 10

AMMAN – JERASH – AMMAN

After breakfast, start your day with an excursion to the Roman city of Jerash. Afterwards, visit Umm Qais, a town in northern Jordan near the site of the ancient town of Gadara. Return to Amman for dinner at a local restaurant. (B)

Day 11

PETRA

A full day visiting the “rose red” city of Petra, the world wonder, which is Jordan’s most valuable treasure. (B)

Day 12

PETRA – WADI RUM – DEAD SEA

Drive to Wadi Rum Desert. Enjoy a two hour 4x4 Bedouin Jeep tour to explore the most attractive spots in Wadi Rum. Later in the afternoon, drive to the Dead Sea and visit the Jordan side. (B)

Day 13

DEAD SEA

A free day at leisure to soak in the Dead Sea. (B)

Day 14

DEAD SEA – AMMAN

Transfer to Queen Alia International Airport for departure. (B)
