Day 1
Arrive in Copenhagen and make your way to the hotel. Discover the delights of Scandinavia’s largest city thanks to your 24-hr Copenhagen city card. This pass grants you free entry to many of Copenhagen’s museums, palaces and other sights that you can explore at your own pace.
Day 2
Take the train to Stockholm and explore the majestic Swedish capital with your 48-hr Stockholm city card, which includes unlimited public transport and free admission to dozens of museums and other attractions. (B)
Day 3
Spend the day exploring at leisure. Soak up the old-world charm of the Gamla Stan district, pay a visit to the Skansen open-air museum or visit Stockholm’s famous city hall. (B)
Day 4
Today is a free day to explore before boarding an overnight ferry to cruise through the Stockholm Archipelago and sail to Helsinki. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner buffet on-board. (B)(D)
Day 5
Breakfast onboard. Arrive in Helsinki early morning, and utilise your 48-hr Helsinki city card, which offers free public transport and entry to many major attractions. (B)
Day 6
Spend the day exploring Finland’s capital at leisure. Don’t miss Senate Square’s neoclassical architectural marvels or the many cafes and food stalls of Market Square. (B)
Day 7
Travel by train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland and the traditional home of Santa Claus. (B)
Day 8
Discover this beautiful northern city at your own pace. Rovaniemi boasts sparkling clear days in spring, near-constant sunlight in summer and blazing colours in autumn. During winter try your hand at skiing, snowmobiling, ice surfing or ice golf. (B)
Day 9
Following breakfast, transfer to Inari, a traditional Sámi town in the heart of Finnish Lapland. Upon arrival, the remainder of the day is at leisure to discover this quaint Finnish town. (B)
Day 10
Spend the day exploring Inari at your own pace or take part in optional activities such as a lake cruise, reindeer farm visit (summer only), a husky safari or a snowmobile safari (winter only). (B)
Day 11
This morning, transfer from Inari to Kirkenes. Board the Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Voyage for an early afternoon departure. (B)(L)(D)
Day 12
Sail past glorious landscapes to Hammerfest, the most northerly town in the world before steaming south to the fishing port of Øksfjordand on to Tromsø. (B)(L)(D)
Day 13
Stop in Harstad before sailing through the Vesteralen and Lofoten Islands. Proceed to Svolvær and Stamsund, a charming fishing village. (B)(L)(D)
Day 14
Cross the Arctic Circle and stop at Sandnessjoen. Pass by Torghatten, a gigantic rock with a huge hole that legend says was made by a mythical horseman’s arrow. (B)(L)(D)
Day 15
Disembark in Trondheim for an optional city tour. Continue to Kristiansund and then to Molde, a traditional town of white-painted wooden houses. (B)(L)(D)
Day 16
Disembark in Bergen. Make your own way to the hotel and spend the rest of the day getting to know this former Hanseatic trading port with your 24 hr. Bergen city card. Why not take the journey up Mt. Fløien on the Funicular Railway (not included)? (B)(L)
Day 17
Spend the morning exploring at your own pace before boarding your ‘Norway in Nutshell’ journey through the fjords, starting with an afternoon train ride to Voss. The rest of the day is at leisure. Perhaps explore the Voss Gondola and take in stunning views of the area (not included). (B)
Day 18
Continue the ‘Norway in a Nutshell’ journey, passing beautiful waterfalls as you descend into Gudvangen – a picturesque village on the Naeroy Fjord. Enjoy a fjord cruise before catching the Flåm Railway through spectacular mountain scenery to Myrdal. Board the Bergen Line and travel by train to Oslo. (B)
Day 19
Use your Oslo city card to explore Norway’s capital at your own pace. This handy 24-hour pass offers visitors unlimited public transport and admission to most attractions. Must-see sights include the Viking Ship Museum, Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Kon-Tiki raft and the historic polar vessel Fram. (B)
Day 20
Most of the day is at leisure until your afternoon departure by overnight ferry from Oslo to Copenhagen on the DFDS Seaways ferry. (B)(D)
Day 21
Arrive in Copenhagen and make your own way to the hotel. The day is at leisure to explore Copenhagen and take in the last of your journey through Scandinavia. (B)
Day 22
After breakfast, make your own way to Copenhagen airport for your departure flight. (B)
