On arrival at Cuiaba, you will begin your journey to Araras Eco Lodge. Built with an emphasis on comfort and harmony with the environment, the 19 room Araras Eco Lodge is located approximately two hours by road southwest of Cuiaba. The lodge is built in a regional rustic style with a pool and a large veranda with cosy hammocks. Unwind with a drink at the lodge's bar and enjoy excellent local cuisine featuring Pantanal meat and fish, organic salads and seasonal fruits and vegetables. (L)(D)
Spend the next two days discovering the beauty of the Pantanal. Activities include a photo-safari in specially adapted open vehicles, canoe tours to spot aquatic wildlife, birds, flora and the possibility of piranha fishing, hikes to viewing towers and horseback riding which is the most traditional ways of becoming acquainted with the Pantanal.
