Day 1

Anchorage to Seward – Cruise to Fox Island Kenai Fjord

Board the Coastal Classic Train for the scenic journey to Seward before cruising to Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge on Fox Island. (B)(L)(D)

Day 2

Fox Island with Northwestern Fjord Cruise

Take in the majestic glaciers and breathtaking scenery of Kenai Fjords National Park as you cruise through the Northwestern Fjord before visiting the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge, an island home to seabird rookeries. (B)(L)

Day 3

Seward to Talkeetna (Coach)

Continue to by coach to Talkeenta, a charming gold mining community known for its spectacular views of Mount McKinley.

Day 4

Talkeetna to Denali National Park Entrance (Rail)

Travel on the Denali Star train to the Denali National Park Entrance, before a free afternoon for optional activities such as white water rafting or hiking. (L)

Day 5

Denali National Park Backcountry Adventure (Coach / Bush Plane Flight)

Embark on a full day coach trip down the restricted Denali Park Road to Denali Backcountry Lodge. Keep an eye out for bear, moose, caribou and other wildlife along the way, and take a nature walk or try your luck panning for gold at the Lodge. Return to the park entrance via a flightseeing tour in a small bush plane. 

Day 6

Denali National Park Entrance to Fairbanks (Rail)

Enjoy a free morning at the Park Entrance for optional activities such as helicopter flightseeing, or landing on a glacier, before boarding the Denali Star for the journey north to Fairbanks. (D)
