Watch for calving glaciers, sea lions and humpback whales as you cruise into Kenai Fjords National Park. Take a scenic bush plane flight into Wrangell-St Elias National Park, enjoy an afternoon wildlife tour to Kantishna and a bear viewing adventure to Katmai National Park or Lake Clark National Park. In Denali National Park enjoy a guided hike, gold panning or mountain biking through the backcountry. Note: 08 Jun - 19 Jul departures will visit Katmai National Park for the bear viewing tour and 20 Jul - 30 Aug departures will visit Lake Clark National Park.

Arrive in Anchorage.
Pick up your car and explore Alaska's largest city.
Drive along the scenic Cook Inlet and Turnagain Arm to Seward.
Watch for calving glaciers, sea lions, harbour seals and humpback whales as you cruise into Kenai Fjords National Park. (L)
Travel through the lush Matanuska Valley, and on to the Glenn Highway, one of the oldest and most scenic highways in Alaska.
Drive to the town of Chitina and board a bush plane for the scenic flight into Wrangell-St Elias National Park. The largest in the United States, this park includes four mountain ranges, nine of the country's sixteen highest peaks and extensive ice fields.
Take a step back in time on a historical tour of Kennicott for a glimpse into what it was like to live and work in this remote wilderness.
Return to Chitina by bush plane this morning and continue driving north, following the Trans-Alaska Oil Pipeline.
Enjoy a day at leisure in Fairbanks. You may wish to add an optional visit to Alaska's Arctic or the Gates of the Arctic National Park today.
Depart aboard the Alaska Railroad to Denali National Park before an afternoon wildlife tour to Kantishna. Learn about the history, wildlife and geology of the park and look out for moose, bear, wolves and caribou. (D)

Depart by bus back to the park entrance before your afternoon Alaska Railroad journey to Anchorage. (B)
