Your journey begins in San Francisco, the “City by the Bay”! Visit San Francisco’s most beloved attraction—Fisherman’s Wharf. This waterfront community is rich in both culture and fun. Have dinner at the end of Pier 39 at Swiss Louis Restaurant on us. (Overnight in San Francisco) (D)
Climb aboard a double-decker bus for your hop-on / hop-off tour of San Francisco! The tour gives you the opportunity to explore Downtown, Golden Gate & Sausalito, Golden Gate Park and more. You can hop-on and hop-off the bus at any of the stops to explore the all the major sights of San Francisco at your own pace. Visit places like Chinatown, North Beach, Union Square, the Civic Center and more! (Overnight in San Francisco)
Today you’ll take a tour of Muir Woods and Sausalito. On the drive to Muir Woods, you’ll cross over the Golden Gate Bridge and disembark in the serene redwood forest. Once you’ve taken in all that Muir Woods has to offer, stroll to the loading area and stop in Sausalito, a “California original” and home to many artists. Take time to dine, to shop and to enjoy this fascinating village. After, ride back to Fisherman’s Wharf to San Francisco and transfer on your own to the train station where you will board Amtrak for Portland. Widely regarded as one of the most spectacular of all train routes, the Coast Starlight links the greatest cities on the West Coast. The scenery along the Coast Starlight route is unsurpassed. Relax and unwind on your way to “Rose City”. (Overnight on train)
The evening is yours to discover “The City of Roses”. With big city excitement and small town charm, Portland is one of the favorite destinations in the West. (Overnight in Portland)
Explore Portland with the help of a trolley tour! Stops include Pioneer Square, South Park, Oregon Zoo and more! In the off-season, a museum admission will be substituted. That evening, climb aboard a scenic dinner cruise in downtown Portland and cruise down the Willamette River to celebrate your last night in Portland. (Overnight in Portland) (D)
Transfer on your own and board Amtrak for Seattle. On the Coast Starlight, the lush forests and fertile valleys provide a stunning backdrop for your journey. Upon arrival to Seattle, check-in to your hotel and explore the beautiful city and all it has to offer! (Overnight in Seattle)
Take a city tour of Seattle where you will visit all the top attractions, including the world famous Pike Place Market! Your first full day in Seattle also includes a ride to the top of the world-famous Space Needle for incredible views of Seattle and a visit to the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit.
