Board the Coast Starlight train for San Francisco and savour the rolling hills and amazing ocean views as you head north. Upon arrival the evening is at your leisure.
After breakfast, transfer to Yosemite National Park and experience the rugged beauty and abundant wildlife for which the park is famous. Return to San Francisco for the night.
Head west to Salt Lake City on the California Zephyr and enjoy the scenic desert views. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel for a two night stay. (L)(D)
Salt Lake City offers a range of outdoor recreational and cultural activities to explore at your own pace.
This morning, board your shuttle to Yellowstone National Park and enjoy the scenery along the way. Upon arrival in West Yellowstone, check in to your hotel and enjoy the evening at your leisure.
Today you experience the majesty of Yellowstone, the world’s first national park. Formed from the remains of an extinct super-volcano that exploded around 600,000 years ago, the park is full of alpine lakes, flowing rivers, jagged peaks, hot springs and geysers. On today’s tour, keep your eyes open for elk, bears, bison pronghorn and even wolves.
Return to Salt Lake City and spend the evening exploring the city.

Welcome to the Windy City! Enjoy the sights at your leisure. Highlights include Navy Pier, Millennium Park and a walk down the Magnificent Mile. This evening, enjoy great dining options or take in live music at a blues club. (B)(L)
Enjoy the morning at leisure before boarding the Southwest Chief. Take in the vast prairie as the train winds southwest. Spend a relaxing night on board and wake up to the desert landscape of Arizona. (D)

Your journey on the iconic Grand Canyon Railway traverses an expanse of ponderosa pine forest before terminating at the South Rim of the Canyon. Over millions of years the waters of the Colorado River have carved the canyon into one of the great wonders of the natural world. Enjoy a guided tour to learn more about this unique place. (B)
Wake early to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Canyon before returning to Williams on the Grand Canyon Railway. Dinner is included as you prepare for the journey home. (D)
