Starting at 2750 m with two high passes to a maximum of 4200 m. While the condition of the centuries-old Inca paving stones is astonishing in most places, some steep trail sections require careful footing and balance!

Day 1: Cuzco – Wayllamba
Distance walked: 12 km (4.5 - 5 hours).

Day 2: Wayllamba – Pacaymayo
Distance walked: 13 km (7.5 - 8 hours).

Day 3: Pacaymayo – Intipata
Distance walked: 15 km (10 hours).

Day 4: Machu Picchu
Distance walked: 6 km (2.5 hours).

Day 5: Aguas Calientes – Cuzco
