Itinerary

• Day 1: Rio de Janeiro

  On arrival transfer to the Excelsior Copacabana Hotel for three nights.

• Day 2: Rio de Janeiro

  Morning tour to Mount Corcovado. In the afternoon tour of the city and Sugarloaf Mountain for spectacular views.

• Day 3: Rio de Janeiro

  At leisure. Perhaps take an optional tour to the Imperial City of Petropolis.

• Day 4: Rio de Janeiro – Iguazu

  Transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguazu Falls. Visit the Argentinian side of the falls and the famous Devil's Throat Cataract. Transfer to Hotel das Cataratas for two nights.

• Day 5: Iguazu

  Day at leisure.

• Day 6: Iguazu – Manaus

  Fly to Manaus in the heart of the Amazon. Transfer to the pier and board the MV Desafio for your three-night cruise. Sail to the Meeting of the Waters, then on to Lake January.

• Day 7: Amazon Cruising

  Morning jungle trek to observe the local flora and return to the boat for a swim. Lunch is served while sailing to Samauma Island.

• Day 8: Amazon Cruising

  Morning visit to a typical Caboclo village to see the traditional way of living. Afternoon piranha fishing. Evening alligator spotting by canoe.

• Day 9: Manaus – Salvador

  Return to Manaus for a flight to Salvador. Stay two nights at the Tropical Hotel Bahia.

• Day 10: Salvador

  Morning city tour. Visit the historical section of town, the Pelourinho area, with the largest and the best preserved colonial architecture in the Americas.

• Day 11: Salvador – Rio de Janeiro

  Transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro.
