Solomon Islands
Holidays & Travel Facts

Discover somewhere different... the Solomon Islands are a necklace of over 990 islands located in the tropical heart of Melanesia. Our population of around 550,000 friendly people come from a cross section rich Pacific cultures and we are only a 3 hour flight north-eastof Brisbane.

Overview for Solomon Islands

The Solomon Islands are a chain of islands boasting rich tropical rainforests surrounded by turquoise lagoons and untouched beaches. You can spend your days playing Robinson Crusoe on your own island, exploring volcanoes, kayaking through pristine lagoons, discovering unspoilt cultural diversity or diving and snorkelling some of the world’s most colourful reefs and underwater wrecks.

But that’s not all! There are surf breaks to be found, sea turtles to admire or you can throw a line and do some leisurely fishing.

It’s easy to island hop your way around the Solomons by air or lagoon. With no large resorts beyond our capital, Honiara, you can immerse yourself in your own jungle eco-hideaway or small beach resort with scenery and sunsets that will take your breath away.
