Itinerary

  • Day 1: Los Angeles

    Arrive and transfer to your hotel.

  • Day 2: Los Angeles – Palm Springs

    Collect your rental car in the morning and start driving south-west towards Palm Springs.

  • Day 3: Palm Springs – Needles – Laughlin

    Begin your day with a visit of Joshua Tree National Park. Continue by Needles to Laughlin, Nevada’s newly discovered entertainment resort located on the Colorado River.

  • Day 4: Laughlin – Williams

    This morning you will travel along part of famous Route 66. Stop at the Grand Canyon Caverns and descend through nearly a mile of colourful mineral formations. Then continue to Williams, a gateway to the Grand Canyon.

  • Day 5: Williams – Grand Canyon National Park – Lake Powell

    This morning experience the grandeur and beauty of the Grand Canyon, one of the world’s natural wonders. Then continue by the old trading post of Cameron and through the Navajo Indian Reservations to Lake Powell.

  • Day 6: Lake Powell – Bryce Canyon National Park

    Cross the border into Utah and see Bryce Canyon National Park, renowned for some of the earth’s most colourful erosion formations.

  • Day 7: Bryce Canyon National Park – Zion National Park – Las Vegas

    This morning continue to Zion National Park before you cross into Nevada and drive through the desert to the glittering jewel and entertainment capital, Las Vegas.

  • Day 8: Las Vegas

    You have a free day to explore Las Vegas.

  • Day 9: Las Vegas – Death Valley – Fresno

    Begin your day with a visit to Death Valley National Park, the lowest point in the western hemisphere. Continue via the Panamint Mountains past Ridgecrest to Fresno.

  • Day 10: Fresno – Yosemite National Park – San Francisco

    An early start allows you to fit in a quick visit to Yosemite National Park. Journey to the magnificent forest of coastal redwoods in Muir Woods, then cross the Golden Gate Bridge to arrive in San Francisco.

  • Day 11: San Francisco

    You have a full day at leisure to experience San Francisco. See Chinatown, Fisherman’s Wharf or perhaps take a ferry to Alcatraz.

  • Day 12: San Francisco – Monterey/Carmel – Santa Maria

    Depart San Francisco for the scenic Monterey Peninsula. Drive along spectacular 17-Mile Drive to the charming town of Carmel. Then continue south by Big Sur on Highway 1, where you will experience some of the most incredible coastal scenery in America.

  • Day 13: Santa Maria – Solvang – Santa Barbara – Los Angeles

    Visit the Danish town of Solvang enroute to one of California’s favourite vacation spots – Santa Barbara. The city is famous for its old mission and Spanish heritage. Spend the day exploring before you head back to Los Angeles.

  • Day 14:Los Angeles

    Drive to the airport and return your car.
