Itinerary

• Day 1: Los Angeles – Palm Springs – Phoenix

  Travel towards the rugged San Jacinto Mountains and Palm Springs, then continue to Phoenix.

• Day 2: Phoenix – Grand Canyon National Park

  Travel through the desert to Sedona then continue through Oak Creek Canyon to the Grand Canyon NP.

• Day 3: Grand Canyon NP – Monument Valley – Lake Powell

  View the Canyon then travel to Monument Valley. Afternoon visit to Glen Canyon Dam and enjoy views of Lake Powell.

• Day 4: Lake Powell – Bryce Canyon NP

  Enter Utah passing through the town of Kanab to spectacular Bryce Canyon and marvel at the multi-colored world of sandstone spires.

• Day 5: Bryce Canyon NP – Zion NP* – Las Vegas

  Travel to Zion NP and see the massive rock formations. This afternoon experience the contrast of Las Vegas.

  *The National Park Service has announced construction work along the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway from Mar through Oct 2010. Full details were not available at the time of printing this brochure. Re-routing of the tour and/or omission of Zion N.P. may be necessary.

• Day 6: Las Vegas

  Today is at leisure to enjoy the many attractions of Las Vegas.

• Day 7: Las Vegas – Death Valley

  – Mammoth Lakes** Experience the extreme environment of Death Valley, stopping at Zabriskie Point and Furnace Creek Ranch before continuing to Mammoth Lakes**.

• Day 8: Mammoth Lakes** – Yosemite National Park – Modesto

  A drive over the Tioga Pass** brings you to Yosemite NP, home to spectacular waterfalls, meadows and forests. See the majestic granite formations of El Capitan and Half Dome. Continue to Modesto.

  **Winter Routing

  The Tioga Pass may be closed due to weather or road conditions, in which case you will overnight in Fresno or Visalia and a visit to Mammoth Lakes will not be possible (winter routing applies to all departures between October and May under normal snow conditions).

• Day 9: Modesto – San Francisco

  Cross the Bay Bridge into Sian Francisco and enjoy a full morning tour of the “City by the Bay.” Tour ends upon arrival at hotel.
