Mountain Park Highlights Self Drive

Itinerary

• Day 1: Salt Lake City

  Arrival into Salt Lake City, collect your rental car and drive to your hotel.

• Day 2: Salt Lake City – Sun Valley

  Drive north, cross the Idaho border and into the mountains for an overnight stay in the resort area of Sun Valley.

• Day 3: Sun Valley – Craters of the Moon National Monument – Yellowstone National Park

  Enjoy a stop at the Craters of the Moon National Monument before continuing on to famous Yellowstone National Park.

• Day 4: Yellowstone National Park

  The entire day is yours to explore Yellowstone National Park. The thermal regions of the park are must-sees, particularly Old Faithful Geyser. Also be sure to visit the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone with the Upper & Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River.

• Day 5: Yellowstone National Park – Grand Teton National Park – Jackson

  Travel south to Grand Teton National Park. This area is full of activities for those who enjoy the outdoors. Today you will have time for some sightseeing and hiking before continuing on to Jackson.

• Day 6: Grand Teton National Park

  The day is entirely free to explore the Grand Teton National Park. There are plenty of options to keep you busy; hiking, rafting & kayaking on the Snake River, biking, riding the aerial tram, boat tours across Jenny Lake to name a few.

• Day 7: Jackson – Salt Lake City

  Follow along the Snake River Canyon and the western mountain valleys of Wyoming as you head back to Salt Lake City. There is some time in the afternoon to tour the city.

• Day 8: Salt Lake City

  Drive to the airport where you return your vehicle and complete your mountain adventure.
