Aspen is one of America’s largest and most appealing ski resorts. Snowmass is located just a 14km shuttle bus ride from downtown Aspen. With 95% of the Snowmass village lodging ski-in/ski-out this massive resort is possibly too big to explore in one day. With a family friendly reputation, a mall and a new base that is host to many shops, restaurants and bars plus the new Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Centre, this place is not to be missed.
Beaver Creek is an elegant, private and luxurious resort community located just 16 km from Vail. The uncrowded, immaculately prepared slopes offer easy cruising and carving. The pedestrian village has European style charm and features world-class dining and lodging, plentiful shopping, heated walkways/escalators to the chairlifts and village-to-village skiing to Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead.

Vail is America’s premier ski resort with thousands of acres of lift serviced terrain. This huge sprawling mountain has an excellent lift system serving gentle lower slopes, through to picturesque tree runs, daunting mogul basins and immense powder back bowls. Vail’s village has tremendous character and a large choice of bars, restaurants and shops. With a world class status you have the choice to ski Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin on the same liftpass. All five resorts are located within 50 minutes of each other which gives this destination a wide variety of choice.

Breckenridge, which has 4 picturesque interlinked mountains, has the highest chairlift in North America. It has easy groomed trails to long cruisers, bumps, powder bowls and extreme terrain. There are plenty of non ski activities available such as sleigh rides, snowmobiling, ice skating and much more. Breckenridge is a fascinating, historic gold mining town with endless shopping, dining and nightlife. It prides itself on being a laid back, casual mountain town.
Keystone has something for every skier and rider of any level from bowls, bumps, glades, steeps and spread over 3 magical mountains – Keystone, North Peak and The Outback. For more advanced skiers, Keystone offer ‘Cat Skiing Tours’ to untouched outback bowls. There is extensive night skiing and over 30 different winter non-ski activities to enjoy.
Steamboat offers the perfect mix of real western heritage, genuine small town friendliness and the sophistication of a world class ski and snowboard resort. Steamboat is easily accessed through Denver and the local Hayden airport only 35kms from the slopes. With 2,965 acres of permitted terrain, only on a mountain this big could there be such tremendous variety: long and wide cruiser runs, tree skiing, open glades, bumps, snowboard terrain parks, race courses and even kids-only terrain. Gladed areas with “Champagne Powder” are Steamboat’s particular claim to fame. Steamboat has over 100 bars and restaurants, hot thermal springs, a variety of fun and exciting winter activities and genuine western hospitality.
Jackson Hole is known as the biggest and the best and offers plenty of deep powder skiing across its many challenging bowls and ridges. It has the biggest vertical drop in America and is part of the rugged and beautiful Grand Teton Mountain range. Whether you're here to experience wild, untamed terrain or wide open groomers, its bound to be an experience you'll never forget.
Heavenly is one of America’s largest ski resorts with 4,800 acres of varying terrain, 9 mountain peaks and spectacular views across Lake Tahoe. Below, the vibrant village has a mixture of up-scale lodging, an abundance of restaurants and the glittering 24 hour Nevada casinos. Your liftpass allows skiing at Heavenly Ski Resort or you can upgrade to an interchangeable liftpass and ski at Heavenly, Squaw Valley, Kirkwood, Alpine Meadows, Sierra and Northstar. Heavenly offers a complimentary shuttle service throughout South Lake Tahoe but self drive is recommended as the best way to ski the region.
Located on the northern side of Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley has 4000 acres spread across six Sierra Peaks which offers some exceptionally challenging slopes. Off the slopes there are plenty of other activities to keep you occupied. Your liftpass allows night skiing at Squaw Valley, or you can upgrade to an inter-changeable liftpass valid at nearby Alpine Meadows, Kirkwood, Northstar, Sierra and Heavenly.
Northstar is a place blessed with acres upon acres of skiable and rideable terrain. From green runs to black diamond steeps and everything in between, you have a lot of mountain to spend your day on. With 230 lodging units, Northstar Resort is situated at the base of the ski area and adjacent to the new Village at Northstar offering fine dining and shopping as well as a collection of cafes, restaurants and an ice skating rink. With all this and more this is a must see skier’s haven.
Located close to Yosemite National Park, Mammoth is almost mid-way between LA and San Francisco and only 242 km south of Lake Tahoe. As its name suggests, the ski area is huge and what makes it so special are its world famous bowls with gentle groomed trails, steep chutes and secluded tree runs. Off the mountain there is also plenty to experience and enjoy. Regularly offering skiing and riding into June, its snowfall record is legendary in the USA. Self drive is recommended as the best way to ski the region because local bus transfers to the resort are infrequent.
Once a silver mining town, Park City’s historical old houses have been converted into over 120 restaurants, bars, clubs, shops and art galleries. Park City has over 100 trails offering a wide selection from beginner to expert plus 650 acres of open powder bowl skiing and 4 terrain parks. There are also a wide variety of non ski activities available. For a small surcharge you can purchase a Three Resort International Liftpass which gives you access to Park City, Deer Valley and Canyons.
