Day 1: Calgary - Banff
Your Canadian Rockies getaway starts this morning from Calgary and heads westwards, through the foothills, to the alpine town of Banff.
-
Day 2: Exploring Banff
Also known as “the castle in the Rockies”, the Fairmont itself is a truly magnificent sight, and should definitely help comprise your morning of sightseeing. The day is yours to explore the townsite and all that it has to offer. Be sure to take a ride aboard the Banff Gondola which will whisk you way to the summit of Sulphur Mountain. Here you’ll see some unforgettable views of the Bow Valley. Finally, a great evening option is the Minnewanka Lake Cruise, which hosts a sunset departure making it a perfect way to wind down your day.
-
Day 3: Banff – Jasper
It’s off to Jasper today aboard a luxury motor coach. Travel along the famous Icefields Parkway, as you trek north past Bow Lake, Peyto Lake and the Athabasca Glacier. There is also an excellent chance to see some of Banff and Jasper National Parks’ wildlife including bear, elk, deer, wolves, eagles, bighorn sheep, mountain goats and much more!
-
Day 4: Exploring Jasper
Spend the day however you’d like, while in Canada’s largest National Park. If you enjoy a round of golf or a scenic horseback ride, then the Fairmont has a world-class Golf Course and fully equipped stable to accommodate you – or if relaxing is more your style, the Jasper Park Lodge is situate right on the shores of Lac Beauvert away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and is perfect for a quiet read by the water.
-
Day 5: Jasper – Lake Louise
The morning is yours to do some final exploring of Jasper before hopping on another motor coach and heading down to the ‘Jewel of the Rockies’ – Lake Louise. Here you’ll spend the next 2 nights at the world-famous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, located right on the water’s edge. Simply incredible!
-
Day 6: Exploring Lake Louise
Today is yours to explore this wonderful mountain locale. Perhaps rent a canoe for a leisurely paddle around the lake, or experience the true outdoors with a hike up to one of the area’s famous Tea Houses. This afternoon, you’ll enjoy one of the Fairmont’s most traditional events – Afternoon Tea.
-
Day 7: Lake Louise – Calgary
A morning checkout from your hotel and a transfer back to downtown Calgary or the Calgary International Airport ends your Canadian Rockies Fairmont Getaway.
