Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Anchorage
Transfer independently to your hotel.

Day 2: Anchorage – Denali NP
Pick up your rental car then drive north to Denali National Park. Visit the small gold mining community of Talkeetna.

Day 3: Denali NP
Travel by bus on a tour into the park and watch for bears, caribou and moose.

Day 4: Denali NP – Fairbanks
Continue north to Fairbanks through incredible forest and mountain landscape.

Day 5: Fairbanks – Tok
Follow the Richardson and Alaska Highways east toward Tok.

Day 6: Tok – Dawson City
Drive further east to the Taylor Highway and continue on the Top of the World Highway to the Yukon.

Day 7: Dawson City
Spend today exploring the Klondike goldfields.

Day 8: Dawson City – Whitehorse
Travel the Klondike Highway to the Yukon's capital city, Whitehorse.

Day 9: Whitehorse – Skagway
Scenic drive to Skagway on the Klondike Highway. Highlights include Emerald Lake and the Carcross desert.

Day 10: Skagway – Haines Junction (Kluane NP)
Take the ferry to Haines then drive through the Chilkat Valley and along the perimeter of Kluane National Park.

Day 11: Haines Junction – Tok
Drive the Alaska Highway along Kluane Lake back to Alaska.

Day 12: Tok – Wasilla/Palmer
Travel through mountain and forest landscape to Glennallen, then to the Wasilla/Palmer region. En route drive by the Matanuska Glacier.

Day 13: Wasilla/Palmer – Seward
Continue south to Anchorage, then on the Seward Highway and along the scenic Turnagain Arm. In Seward visit the Exit Glacier.

Day 14: Seward – Anchorage
This morning enjoy a wildlife and glacier cruise tour into scenic Kenai Fjords National Park (not included). Return to Anchorage.

Day 15: Depart Anchorage
Return car to Anchorage airport where your self drive tour ends.
