Itinerary

  • Day 1: Istanbul

    On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

  • Day 2: Istanbul

    An introduction to Istanbul’s highlights including Topkapi Palace, the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. B

  • Day 3: Istanbul – Ankara

    Explore at your own pace this morning, or join an optional tour of St Sophia and a Bosphorus Cruise. Afternoon departure for Ankara. B D

  • Day 4: Ankara – Cappadocia

    View the Hittite artifacts at the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations, followed by a visit to the Mausoleum of Ataturk, father of modern Turkey. Depart for Cappadocia visiting a 13th-century Caravanserai en-route. B D

  • Day 5: Cappadocia

    Tour this fascinating land of ‘fairy chimneys’, visiting Goreme’s rock chapels decorated with 6th century frescoes, Zelve’s cliff-side Byzantine monastic complex and Uchisar’s natural citadel, and the underground city of Sarhatli. B D

  • Day 6: Cappadocia – Pamukkale

    Drive to Pamukkale stopping en-route at the famous mausoleum of the philosopher Mevlana. B D

  • Day 7: Pamukkale – Antalya

    Journey to Antalya arriving mid-afternoon. The remainder of the day is free to relax. B D

  • Day 8: Antalya

    A full day is dedicated to exploring the ancient city of Perge and the famous Roman theatre at Aspendos. B D

  • Day 9: Antalya – Kas

    Morning departure for Kas. On the way you will visit the famous Church of St Nicholas in Demre and enjoy a boat trip to Kekova, the Sunken City. B D

  • Day 10: Kas – Fethiye

    Tour the ancient cities of Patara and Xanthos before proceeding to the famous resort town of Fethiye. B D

  • Day 11: Fethiye

    A full day at leisure to relax and swim or join an optional tour of Oludeniz or perhaps a 12 islands boat trip. B D

  • Day 12: Fethiye – Marmaris

    Take a short drive to Dalyan village where you will board a river boat to the famous mud baths and hot springs. From here you can view the Ancient Kings’ tombs of Canous City. Afterwards there will be time for a relaxing swim break at Iztuzu Beach (Turtle Beach), where there is a natural shelter and breeding site for blue crabs, and near extinct loggerhead sea turtles.   • Day 13: Marmaris

    Relax and unwind, with a full day to explore Marmaris at your own pace. Optional tours are also available to the Greek island of Rhodes. B D

  • Day 14: Marmaris – Bodrum

    On arrival in Bodrum see the famous city sites, including the Castle of St Peter and the renowned Underwater Museum. Continue to the foundations of the Mausoleum of Halicarnassos, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. B D

  • Day 15: Bodrum – Kusadasi

    Depart early for the port town of Kusadasi, gateway to the famous ruins of Ephesus. A full day is set aside to visit this spectacular site and St Mary’s Cottage nearby. B D

  • Day 16: Pergamum, Troy & Canakkale

    Visit the ancient Medical Centre Asclepion in Pergamum, followed by Troy with its famous wooden horse, before continuing to Canakkale for overnight. B D

  • Day 17: Gallipoli – Istanbul

    In the morning visit Gallipoli and Anzac Cove, Lone Pine Cemetery, Chunuk Bair and Kabatepe War Museum and then afterwards journey on to Istanbul. B

  • Day 18: Istanbul

    Your tour ends after breakfast with a transfer to the airport. B
