Itinerary

  • Day 1: Istanbul

    On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Welcome briefi ng this evening.

  • Day 2: Istanbul

    Visit the highlights of Istanbul including the Topkapi Palace, St Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Byzantine Hippodrome and the Grand Bazaar. .

  • Day 3: Istanbul – Cannakale

    Depart for Gallipoli and visit the sobering sights of ANZAC Cove, Chunuk Blair and Lone Pine Cemetery. Cross the Dardanelle Strait to your Cannakale hotel.

  • Day 4: Cannakale – Kusadasi

    Visit the World Heritage Site of Troy and view the ancient ruins and replica wooden Trojan horse. From Troy, continue to Pergamum and visit the Asclepion Medical Centre, and then on to Kusadasi, famous for its beaches and panoramic views. .

  • Day 5: Ephesus & St Mary’s House

    Today visit the stunning ruins of Ephesus followed by St Mary’s House. Conclude with a visit to a regional rug production centre before enjoying some free time. .

  • Day 6: Kusadasi – Pamukkale

    Drive through fertile valleys to Pamukkale and view the remarkable calcium cliffs and pools that form the natural ‘White Castle’. Afterwards, visit the ruins of Hierapolis and the fi rst spa centre of the ancient world with its soothing hot springs.

  • Day 7: Pamukkale – Antalya

    Continue the journey to Antalya, a beautiful city on the south coast. In the afternoon, visit the ancient city of Perge. .

  • Day 8: Antalya

    Day at leisure for exploration with optional tours available. .

  • Day 9: Antalya – Konya

    Depart for Konya, en-route visiting the famous theatre at Aspendos, the Mevlana Mausoleum, and Karatay Koran School, now a museum. .

  • Day 10: Konya – Cappadocia

    On the way to Cappadocia, visit the 13th century Agzikarahan Caravanserai. Be in awe of the landscape as you journey towards the land of the ‘fairy chimneys’. On arrival, explore the fascinating underground city of Sarhatli. .

  • Day 11: Cappadocia

    Early this morning, take an optional sunrise hot air balloon ride, one of the best ways to absorb the stunning scenery. Visit the rock formations at Goreme, the old city of Avanos and a brief visit to a pottery workshop located in a cave. .

  • Day 12: Cappadocia – Mt Nemrut

    Depart for Mt Nemrut, en-route stop by the 13th century Seljukian caravansari. .

  • Day 13: Mt Nemrut – Urfa

    Very early departure this morning to climb Mt Nemrut in time to view the stunning sunrise. Spend time exploring the monumental statues and the sacred resting place built by Antiochus. Continue the journey to Urfa, the birthplace of Abraham and visit Harran, a village of spellbinding mud-brick beehive houses. .

  • Day 14: Urfa

    Transfer to the airport. .
