Day 1: Istanbul
On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Istanbul
A full day tour of Istanbul’s treasures, including Topkapi Palace, St Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome and the incredible Grand Bazaar, said to house over 5000 stores. B

Day 3: Istanbul – Gallipoli – Assos
Early departure for Gallipoli to visit ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine Cemetery, Chunuk Bair and the Gabatepe War Museum. Afterwards, cross the Dardanelle Strait to Canakkale and onwards to Troy and Assos. B D

Day 4: Assos – Pergamum – Selcuk
A beautiful morning drive through olive forests to visit an olive museum, followed by an ethnographical museum in Tahta kuslar (wooden birds) village. From here continue to Pergamum and the ancient Medical Centre Asclepion before arrival at the town of Selcuk. B D

Day 5: Ephesus & St Mary’s House
A morning tour of the glorious ruins of Ephesus; explore 2000 year-old marble streets and the famous library of Celsius. A short drive from here is St Mary’s House. Finish the day with a visit to the traditional village of Sirince. B D

Day 6: Selcuk – Pamukkale
Morning drive to the ruins of Aphrodisias, set against the foot of the picturesque mountain. Then motor east to the calcium springs of Pamukkale and the ancient Spa Centre of Hierapolis. B D

Day 7: Pamukkale – Kalkan
Head south towards the coastal town of Kalkan, stopping en-route at the incredible Saklikent Canyon, which runs a length of 18 km. Nearby is Patara, featuring some interesting ruins and a very appealing whitesand beach, 20 km long and 50m wide. B D

Day 8: Kalkan – Antalya
From Kalkan visit the ancient Roman city of Myra, home to the Church of St Nicholas. Afterwards stop briefly in the coastal town of Finike for an early afternoon arrival in Antalya. The afternoon is free to discover the old town and harbour. B D

Day 9: Antalya – Cappadocia
Depart for the Roman city of Aspendos, nestled at the foot of the Taurus Mountains; proceed to Konya, home to Mevlana’s Mausoleum, founder of the Whirling Dervishes, before your first glimpse of the ‘moon-like’ landscape of Cappadocia. B D

Day 10: Cappadocia
There is the opportunity to soar high over the volcanic valleys and fairy chimneys on an optional hot air balloon ride in the morning. After breakfast, view the Byzantine frescoed chapels at Goreme and then visit an eightstorey underground city at Ozkonak, finishing at a local pottery making village at Avanos. B D

Day 11: Cappadocia – Ankara
Early morning drive past a huge and impressive salt lake to Ankara. Afternoon tour of the Ataturk Mausoleum and the Anatolian Civilisations Museum housing Hittite artifacts, before transfer to the airport or a hotel where your tour ends. B
