Day 2: Istanbul

Experience why travellers have fallen in love with Istanbul for centuries on your full day exploration of the city, including expansive Topkapi Palace, the enchanting Blue Mosque, the Byzantine architecture of St. Sophia and the vast array of merchandise at the Grand Bazaar.

Day 3: Istanbul – CanakkaleDay 3: Istanbul – Canakkale

Depart for Gallipoli to commemorate those that lost their life here in WWI. Stop by ANZAC Cove, Chunuk Bair and Lone Pine cemetery before crossing the Dardanelle Strait to Canakkale.

Day 4: Canakkale – Kusadasi

Drive to the ruins of Troy and see the wooden replica Trojan Horse, synonymous with the city. Continue to the ancient Greek city of Pergamum before concluding the day in Kusadasi, a busy port with pretty vistas.

Day 5: Ephesus

Visit the remarkable ruins of ancient Ephesus and St Mary’s House, a tour highlight. Enjoy some free time in the afternoon.

Day 6: Kusadasi – Pamukkale

Drive through fertile valleys to Pamukkale via Aphrodisias – named after the Greek goddess of love. Upon arrival in Pamukkale, you will be in awe at the calcium cliffs and pools that form the natural ‘White Castle’. Also visit the ancient ruins of Hierapolis.

Day 7: Pamukkale – Marmaris

Continue south with driver only, to the beautiful coastal town of Marmaris.

Day 8: Marmaris – Rhodes

Conclude your Turkey arrangements with a transfer to the hydrofoil. Journey to the stunning island of Rhodes where you will be met and transferred to your hotel by our Greece representative.

Day 9: Rhodes

Enjoy a day at leisure in sunny Rhodes.

Day 10: Rhodes – Athens

Transfer to the airport for your Athens flight. Check in to your capital accommodation then explore the ancient city at your own pace. Athens is a thriving city, resplendent with ancient sites, cosmopolitan eateries and fun activities.

Day 11: Athens

Take a half day tour of Athens’ famous sights, including the imposing Acropolis and Parthenon, and the informative Acropolis Museum. The afternoon is free to explore the Plaka with its taverns and traditional shops.

Day 12: Athens – Mykonos

Travel by hydrofoil to the white-washed wall of Mykonos Island and transfer to your hotel. Mykonos is the most famous of the Cyclades Islands with crystal clear waters and golden sands.

Enjoy a free day to explore the beaches and narrow streets and to absorb the ambience of this fabulous island, a trip highlight.
