White Nights Cruise

Cruising the waterways of Russia is a great way to explore the country’s highlights. M/S Chernyshevsky is a four-deck vessel and cabins are equipped with private facilities and large scenic window in each cabin and onboard facilities include a restaurant and sun deck.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Moscow

    Embark and receive a welcome cocktail reception.

  • Day 2: Moscow

    Enjoy a city tour of Moscow including the incredible Kremlin complex, home to the 15th century Cathedral of Assumption where the coronation of tsars was once held.  

  • Day 3: Moscow

    Enjoy a day at leisure before you set sail.

  • Day 4: Uglich

    Arrive in one of Russia’s most ancient towns. Tour the Kremlin, including the Cathedral of Transfiguration with its impressive vaulted ceilings, and the five-domed building of the Church of St Demetrius of the Blood.  

  • Day 5: Uglich – Yaroslavl

    Your shore excursion today is the impressive town of Yaroslavl. Here visit the Monastery of Transfiguration and Church of St Elijah the Prophet.  

  • Day 6: Yaroslavl – Goritsy

    Continue to the small town of Goritsy. Just some seven km away is the impressive structure of the Kirillo-Belosersky Monastery, considered to be one of Russia’s greatest centres of religious life. 

  • Day 7: Goritsy – Kizhi Island

    Cruise to Kizhi Island, a tiny isle renowned for its open-air museum of wooden architecture, featuring the impressive 22-domed Church of Our Saviour’s Transfiguration, built without a single nail.  

  • Day 8: Mandrogi

    Stop by Mandrogi, a town famous for its wooden houses and vodka museum. Enjoy a day at leisure to soak up the atmosphere and sample a traditional kebab lunch with all the trimmings.  

  • Day 9: St Petersburg

    Arrive this amazing city of haunting magnificence, for a full three days of exploration. Enjoy a city tour including the Peter and Paul Fortress - once the burial site for tsars – and Decembrists’ Square with its bronze statue of Peter the Great.  

  • Day 10: St Petersburg

    Explore the many wonders of the elegant Winter Palace, which is home to the Hermitage Museum, one of the world’s greatest museums with a staggering three million artifacts.  

  • Day 11: St Petersburg

    Explore St Petersburg at leisure before a farewell dinner onboard with a special menu.

  • Day 12: St Petersburg

    Your cruise concludes this morning with disembarkation after breakfast.
