Itinerary

  • Day 1-2: Moscow

    Start in the Russian capital. Visit Red Square, which contains the amazing complex including the Kremlin, stunning St. Basil’s Cathedral with its colourful domes, and the treasure-filled armoury.
  • Day 3: Suzdal

    Travel to the Golden Ring, stopping at Suzdal, the Russian capital before Moscow. Explore this medieval town.
  • Day 4: Yaroslavl

    This gem of the Golden Ring celebrates its millennial anniversary in 2010. It is famous for its traditional Orthodox frescoes.  
  • Day 5: Sergiev

    Stop in the ancient town of Sergiev Posad to visit the oldest monastery in Russia, before continuing on the overnight train to St. Petersburg. 
  • Day 6-8: St. Petersburg

    Explore the visual masterpiece that is St. Petersberg, with its canals and opulent baroque architecture. Marvel at the vast collection of art at the Hermitage, then venture further afield to Pushkin and the palaces and gardens that were the Tsar’s royal estates.
