Itinerary

  • Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang

    Depart Hanoi for the seven hour drive to Ha Giang, one of the most remote provinces in Vietnam, consisting of breathtaking scenery, a colourful array of hill tribes and vibrant local markets. On arrival freshen up then take an afternoon walk to a Tay Hilltribe village. (L)

  • Day 2: Ha Giang – Meo Vac

    Take a fantastic six hour drive to the town of Meo Vac located along the Chinese border. The journey will take you past many villages inhabited by different colourful hill tribe groups. In the afternoon enjoy a scenic light trek along the Nho Que River, visiting villages of the Tay and Nung hilltribe groups. (B)(L)

  • Day 3: Meo Vac – Dong Van

    Begin the morning with a visit to the fabulous Meo Vac Market, and then set off for Dong Van. The trip passes through Ma Pi Leng, which is also known as ‘Heaven’s Gate Pass’, skirting the Chinese border and winding along the narrow roads. Arrive in Dong Van and spend the remainder of the afternoon walking around the town to visit local villages.(B)(L)

  • Day 4: Dong Van – Lung Cu – Tam Son

    Leave Dong Van for the spectacular one-hour drive to Lung Cu, the northernmost point of Vietnam. Here visit a village of the Lo Lo hill tribe and then continue to the Palace of the last H’Mong King located in Saphin Village and to Pho Bang Town. Spend time walking along the narrow streets and have lunch before arrival at Tam Son. (B)(L)

  • Day 5: Tam Son – Ha Giang – Hanoi

    The drive back to Hanoi is approximately nine hours. Arrive late afternoon.(B)(L).

  • Day 6: Hanoi

    Transfer to the airport. (B).
