Days 1: Bangkok
Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel and the remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Days 2: Bangkok
Begin a day of sightseeing with a boat cruise to visit Wat Po, the home of Thai massage and the reclining Buddha. Continue to visit the Grand Palace, Khao San Road and to the Thai Champs Elysées, Rachadamnoen, where you’ll get in tuk-tuks to take you to lunch. After lunch visit Jim Thompson’s House Museum. After the visit, the opportunity is given for shopping in one of the five huge shopping complexes of the area. L, D

Days 3: Bangkok – Luang Prabang
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Luang Prabang. This afternoon, a half-day orientation of Luang Prabang. The first stop will take you to a Wat (temple), the spiritual centre of Laos’ Buddhist culture. You might have the opportunity to speak with monks. Your next step will be at Phou Si Mountain, located in the centre of town. Climb the 328 steps that lead to the top where you will be rewarded with marvellous views of the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers. Descend the mountain and stroll to the nearby colourful Night Market. This evening enjoy dining at L’Eléphant, one of the city’s best restaurants. B, D

Days 4: Sukhothai Luang Prabang
For early risers, there is a very special dawn visit to watch the monks collecting the alms. After breakfast transfer by vehicle to the Historical Old Town where your tour begins at the fresh market. Continue your tour by visiting some of the city’s most important temples. After lunch, head to Ock Pop Tok to learn the history, methods and cultural significance of textiles in Laos. You will have a chance to design and/or dye your own scarf. Then, take a tour of the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre. Late this afternoon, experience the wonderful flavours of Lao cuisine with a Lao cooking class. At the end of the course, sit down to enjoy a delicious dinner. B L D.

Day 5: Luang Prabang
This morning venture to the beautiful Wat Xieng Thong. After exploring the temple, board the ‘Nava Mekong’ river boat for a leisurely cruise up to Pak Ou caves where hundreds of sacred centuries-old Buddha images are displayed. Moor during lunch at the foot of beautiful limestone cliffs. Cruise back to Luang Prabang, visiting two villages en-route. B L D.

Day 6: Luang Prabang – Vientiane
This morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Vientiane. On arrival, enjoy your lunch at Makphet, a charity-run restaurant. This afternoon visit “Les Artisans Lao”. Here the trainees transform recycled and renewable materials such as bamboo, palm, and mulberry leaves into quality notebooks, stationary and printer paper. Following this, stop by the Patuxay monument, Laos’ version of the Arc de Triomphe. Before sunset, enjoy a stroll along the Mekong before dinner at one of the best tables in town. B L D.

Day 7: Vientiane
Morning touring to That Luang, Wat Sisaket, and on to the nearby Wat Phra Keo. Enjoy a delicious homestyle lunch, before a free afternoon to shop or relax. This evening a unique Lao ceremony will be performed and a dinner of local cuisine. B L D.

Day 8: Vientiane – Phnom Penh
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Phnom Penh. On arrival the remainder of the day is at leisure. B.

Day 9: Phnom Penh
Embark on a city tour of Phnom Penh, taking in the National Museum, the Royal Palace, and the Silver Pagoda. B.

Day 10: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap
Morning flight to the gateway of the temples of Angkor. Visit these amazing monuments by tuk tuk this afternoon. B.

Day 11: Siem Reap – Bangkok
Head out to the more remote temple of Beng Melea, tucked away in the jungle. Continue to Koh Ker, home to various temples of the 10th century. After a picnic lunch at the temples return to Siem Reap time at leisure before the flight to Bangkok. B L.

Time at leisure until your departure flight. B.
