Depart Manila for Banaue. See rice fields surrounding the small towns and villages along the way with a brief stop for lunch.
Depart by local jeepney for Banga-an, a traditional village nestled in a panoramic valley of terraces. The 20-minute walk on a descending trail permits a closer look of the Ifugao world. Visit a typical home to see their way of life then proceed to the viewpoint to view the UNESCO World Heritage Rice Terraces built over 2,000 years ago. B.
Travel to the picturesque town of Sagada to see their ancient burial caves with mummified coffins. On the return journey stop by the Bontoc Museum, housing a varied collection of authentic artifacts. This evening watch a tribal show of songs and dances interpreting their culture and traditions. B.
Leave Banaue for Manila arriving late afternoon. B.
