Itinerary

• Day 1: Kuala Lumpur – Ipoh

  Pick-up/delivery of your rented car and then the drive north towards Ipoh, also known as “The City of Millionaires”. Just south of Ipoh you can visit the ruins of Kellie’s Castle.
  
  In the afternoon, visit Ipoh town with its grand colonial architecture. Some of the highlights are the Moorish-Victorian train station, the St. Michael’s Institute and the Birch Memorial Clock Tower.

• Day 2: Ipoh – Banding Island

  Continue the drive to Kuala Kangsar, the royal town of Perak, which is 50 km north-west of Ipoh. Suggested visits include the Ubudiah Mosque, the Istana Iskandariah (Kings Palace) and the Istana Kenangan, which was built in 1926 without the use of nails.
  
  Leave the North-South Highway straight to Banding Island, located within the Belum- Temenggor rainforest. B.

• Day 3: Banding Island – Penang

  After breakfast take some time to relax by taking a leisurely cruise around the island. Then continue the drive to Penang, arriving early evening. B.

• Day 4: Penang

  you’re able to. It is about 70 km all the way round. Georgetown is a compact city and most places can easily be reached by foot or by trishaw. B.

• Day 5: Penang – Cameron Highlands

  Depart Penang for the Cameron Highlands, famous for its world-renowned tea. A suggested visit en-route is the Lata Iskandar Waterfall which is about 25 km from Tapah. In the Cameron Highlands are the vegetable and strawberry farms, the Butterfly Garden, the local market, the tea plantations and the tea factory. B, L.

• Day 6: Cameron Highlands – Kuala Lumpur

  Depart for a scenic drive to Kuala Lumpur via Tapah. A suggested visit is the Batu Caves, just outside KL. This marvellous limestone formation holds a Hindu Temple within - definitely a must-see. Continue your drive to Kuala Lumpur and return your car at your hotel or at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. B.
