Sample a variety of cuisines, from some of the best restaurants, to the best street food on this seven day private tour departing from Kuala Lumpur. Highlights include exploring local fresh produce markets and sampling a variety of exotic cuisines.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Kuala Lumpur

    Depart the hotel for Little India, the older section of the city, which is a riot of colours. Here, we shall have a banana leaf lunch in a typical South Indian restaurant.

    Continue with a city tour before returning to our hotel before an evening indulgence in an authentic Malaysian dining experience at Makan Kitchen at the Doubletree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur hotel. L, D.

  • Day 2: Kuala Lumpur

    Early morning we proceed to the local market for shopping for our lunch menu followed by a cooking class. The location is a contemporary Malaysian home, complete with herb garden. Afternoon is at leisure or you can opt for a half day countryside tour.

    Dinner is at the Seri Angkasa Restaurant located at KL Tower. B, L, D.

  • Day 3: Kuala Lumpur – Malacca

    After breakfast, depart for Malacca, the historical city of Malaysia. Upon arrival, we proceed for the UNESCO Walk with stops along the way to taste local street food.

    Dinner is at a Peranakan restaurant which showcases the best of Baba/Nyonya cuisine. B, L, D.

  • Day 4: Malacca – Cameron Highlands

    After breakfast, we make our way up to Cameron Highlands, popularly known as the Giant Green Carpe. Enroute, stop at Tapah Rest House for a typical Malaysian Lunch. After lunch we proceed uphill to Cameron Highlands and visit the local market and a vegetable farm for an insight to the lifestyle of the local farmers.

    Indulge on a sumptuous local steamboat dinner in the evening. B, L, D.

  • Day 5: Cameron Highlands – Ipoh

    Early breakfast followed by a visit to the tea plantation for a tasting session. Then depart for Ipoh with a stop at a local fruit orchard. Lunch at Ipoh old town where you will go to a famous coffee-shop serving a wide variety of Chinese food popular amongst locals. After lunch, visit the famed Sam Poh Tong Cave Temple.

    Take a short rest before another local delicacy, the “Clay pot Chicken Rice” dinner made popular in this state. B, L, D.

  • Day 6: Ipoh – Penang

    Depart for Penang where you will visit the spice garden. Dine on a Malay style lunch where the local chef will explain the Malay style of cooking and the ingredients used. Afternoon is at leisure and for dinner, visit the Gurney Drive, famous for its street food. B, L, D.

  • Day 7: Penang

    Morning at leisure before transfer to the airport. B.
