Belum Adventure Tour

Belum is a part of the biggest remaining block of forest in Peninsular Malaysia and home to an incredible range of flora and fauna, including at least two main species of Rafflesia, the largest flower in the world. The area has the largest concentration of hornbills anywhere on earth, and a rich count of more than 100 species of mammals have been recorded.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Kuala Lumpur – Belum Forest

    Depart Kuala Lumpur and drive northwards to Banding. On arrival at Banding Lake check in at your hotel and have lunch before an afternoon adventure bamboo rafting. In the evening participate in the Evening Show Trail, an educational walk and an introduction to the rainforest.

  • Day 2: Belum Forest

    A full day adventure on the Temenggor walk. See the magnificiant Rafflesia flower when in bloom, take a boat ride to an Orang Asli village and proceed to Sira Tersau, a wet salt lick site, via Pulau Batu Puteh and then to Sira Gajah, a dry salt lick. View the impressive Temenggor Dam, marvel at the limestone outcrops and see the floating bamboo houses. Return to your hotel. B, L.

  • Day 3: Belum Forest – Kuala Lumpur

    A leisurely morning before a midday departure for your return to Kuala Lumpur. B.
