Depart this morning downriver to Champassak, famous for its pre-Angkorian temple ruins. Explore Wat Phou, founded in the 5th century, and in the evening enjoy a tropical sunset dinner. (L, D)
Cruise to the quaint village of Houei Thamo and the spectacular hidden forest temple of Oum Moung. Continue to the remote paradise of the 4000 Islands. End the day with a visit to a traditional Laotian village. (B,L,D)
Cruise to the small village of Ban Veuthong and take a long-tail boat to your lunch stop. Journey by road to Khong Pha Peng waterfall, one of the region’s largest falls. Return to Pakse to conclude your tour. (B, L)
