Phnom Penh to Siem Reap Cruise

This three day journey is a fantastic way to discover the small villages and riverside life of the Khmer people. Highlights include cruising peacefully observing riverside life and visiting various villages along the way.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Phnom Penh – Kampong Tralach

    Depart early and cruise up the Tonle Sap River towards the town of Oudong, the former capital of Cambodia during the 17th - 19th century. Continue to Prek Kdam to visit the village of Koh Chen, whose inhabitants specialise in silver and copper smithing. Watch the craftsmen at work before returning to the boat for lunch, followed by an afternoon visit to a colourful pagoda at Kampong Tralach. (L)(D)

  • Day 2: Kampong Tralach – Kampong Luong

    Your river journey continues to the village of Kompong Chhnang. Disembark and visit the local market and a pottery-making village. After lunch on board, continue to Kompong Luong, one of the largest floating villages on the lake. Observe the unique lifestyle of the village residents. In the evening, the boat anchors in the flooded forest near Kompong Luong. Farewell cocktail and Captain’s dinner on board. (B)(L)(D)

  • Day 3: Kampong Luong – Siem Reap

    In the morning, cruise across the Tonle Sap Lake. Follow small canals crowded with floating houses and enjoy the views of the local lake life. Enjoy lunch on board before disembarking near Siem Reap at around 1pm. (B)(L)
