Itinerary

  • Day 1: Beirut

    On arrival, transfer to your hotel.

  • Day 2: Beirut

    Spend the entire day exploring Beirut. Visit the Solidere district which best illustrates the extent of the reconstruction and determination of the Lebanese to rebuild their city. Take a short walk along the city’s favourite promenade. Visit the National Museum, home to an extraordinary collection of important archaeological objects. Continue to Saifi Village and see its numerous art galleries, antique stores, artisan shops and boutiques. Stop at Tawlet Souk at Tayeb, a farmers market offering delicious regional Lebanese dishes and to sample some fi ne cuisine. Conclude the tour with a visit to Robert Mouawad Private Museum housing a unique collection of artefacts in a luxurious palace.

  • Day 3: Beirut

    Today, journey to the south where you will visit the ancient city of Sidon and see the ruins of the fortress church known as the Castle of the Sea. Continue to Tyre, believed to have been founded at the start of the third millennium BC. See the reconstructed Triumphal Arch, the impressive long avenue and the Great Hippodrome.

  • Day 4: Beirut – Byblos

    The Jeita Grottos are one of Lebanon’s most unusual tourist attractions, an enormous cavern festooned with every shape and size of stalactite and stalagmite. Continue on to Harissa, accessible by gondola lift, offering spectacular views of the city and the Mediterranean. The main attraction is the statue of the Virgin Mary, also knownas “Our Lady of Lebanon”. Continue to the picturesque ancient city of Byblos.

  • Day 5: Byblos

    Day at leisure to wander around and see the Stone Age houses, ancient city walls and several Roman Ruins.

  • Day 6: Byblos – Tripoli – Beirut

    Continue north to visit the Cedars of God (Lebanon’s national emblem). The cedars are among the last survivors of the immense forests that laid across Mount Lebanon in ancient times. Visit Tripoli, the capital of the north and the country’s second largest city. A beautiful, well preserved ancient town with a history dating back 7000 years. Return to Beirut.

  • Day 7: Beirut

    Visit the Roman ruins of Baalbek, one of Lebanon’s greatest Roman treasures and one of the worlds best preserved. After lunch, stop at Ksara Winery, famous producer of wines. Tour the winery and sample some award winning wines with a sommelier from the house of Ksara.

  • Day 8: Beirut

    Visit Beiteddine, the Palace of the Emirs, with its vast courtyard and beautiful fountains. Also visit Deir el Qamar, it is considered as one of the country’s historical heritages.

  • Day 9: Beirut

    Full day at leisure.

  • Day 10: Beirut

    Transfer to the airport.
