Itinerary

  • Day 1: Amman

    On arrival, meet and assist at the airport and transfer to your hotel.

  • Day 2: Amman

    Explore Amman, on a walking tour of the city, along the way stop by falafel vendors to sample some tasty Levantine cuisine. Visit the downtown area of Amman, the imposing Roman Theatre, the Citadel and the cultural/ arts hub that is Rainbow Street. Lunch will be at the Iraq al-Amir’s Women’s Association. Here, local women produce their own soaps and handicrafts which they sell to make an income for the association and for the families living in the area. They will prepare a traditional Jordanian dish for you to enjoy together.

  • Day 3: Amman – Petra

    Today visit the Greco-Roman city of Jerash sometimes known as the Pompeii of the East and built over 2,000 years ago. It’s widely regarded as the best-preserved city of the Decapolis. Continue onto Petra. This evening experience a cooking lesson at Petra Kitchen. Located just up the road from the entrance to the Rose City, Petra Kitchen is a locally managed business, staffed by local Jordanians offering a hands-on approach to the preparation of a Middle East repast. After the lesson, enjoy the fruits of your labour.

  • Day 4: Petra

    Today visit the "rose-red" city of Petra. More than 2,000 years ago Petra was used as a temporary refuge by nomadic Nabataean Arabs - Bedouins - who came north out of Arabia. Starting with only a few caves, they carved the sandstone to create this spectacular and awe inspiring fortress city. The whole day is yours to spend exploring this impressive city. Enjoy lunch at the Basin Restaurant located inside the city.

  • Day 5: Petra – Amman

    Before returning to Amman, visit Lawrence of Arabia’s Wadi Rum. Visit several noble sites, including the Seven Pillars of Wisdom, Lawrence’s Creek, Burdah Bridge rock and many more. Round off the day by sharing tea with the local Bedouins before driving back to Amman.

  • Day 6: Amman

    Visit the Church of St George and its famous Mosaic Map in Madaba and Mt Nebo before going to the Dead Sea for a swim. This evening, visit Beit Sitti, located in one of Jordan’s oldest neighbourhoods offering a cooking and dining experience. Learn how to make an original Arabic dish from scratch accompanied by a salad, an appetizer and followed by dessert, and then dine on a balcony overlooking the citadel and old Amman. A perfect ending to your Taste of Jordan tour.

  • Day 7: Amman

    Transfer to the airport.
