Itinerary

  • Day 1: Amman

    Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and relax until dinner.

  • Day 2: Jerash & Amman

    After breakfast, enjoy a morning tour of the amazingly well-preserved Greco-Roman city of Jerash. In the afternoon take a tour of Amman visiting the Citadel, which sits on the highest hill in Amman, Jebel al-Qala’a, approximately 850 m above sea level. Next, take in the ancient Roman theatre, strategically built into the hillside oriented north to keep the sun off the spectators.

  • Day 3: Amman – Petra

    Travel along the Kings’ Highway, a scenic route to reach magical Petra. Stop en-route at Madaba, home to Byzantine mosaics, the view point of Mt. Nebo and Shobak, built around 1115 A.D. and perched on a wild, remote landscape.

  • Day 4: Petra

    Enjoy a guided tour of Petra, the rose-red city that is one of Jordan’s highlights. Petra is a treasure of the ancient world, hidden behind an almost impenetrable barrier of rugged mountains. The tour enters the city through The Siq, a canyon which opens out in front of the dramatic Treasury tomb. Extra time is allocated for personal exploration.

  • Day 5: Petra

    Morning visit to Al Beidha (Little Petra), then enjoy some free time to relax at your hotel. This evening return to the site of Petra for a final time to enjoy ‘Petra by Candlelight’ - a perfect fi nale to this magical destination.

  • Day 6: Petra – Dead Sea

    Take a morning drive to Wadi Rum for a 4WD excursion into the desert. Wadi Rum is stunning in its natural beauty, with a moonscape of ancient valleys and towering sandstone mountains rising out of the sand. Continue to the Dead Sea for two nights.

  • Day 7: Dead Sea

    Enjoy the day at leisure fl oating in the Dead Sea or relaxing at the hotel. You can also choose an optional morning excursion (extra cost) to the baptism site at Bethany on the banks of the River Jordan, a biblical site associated with the lives of Jesus and John the Baptist.

  • Day 8: Dead Sea – Amman.

    Transfer to Amman.
