Itinerary

  • Day 1:

    Join the tour in Colombo

  • Days 2 - 4:

    Ancient treasures From our base at Habarana, we set out to explore the stunning Buddhist grottoes of Dambulla, ancient city of Polonnaruwa and ascend the Lion Rock at Sigiriya to enjoy its famous 'heavenly maidens' painted in a niche in the sheer cliff face.

  • Days 5 - 6:

    Kandy We visit the atmospheric Temple of the Tooth and Botanical gardens.

  • Days 7 - 8:

    Tea Country We drive through hills cloaked in tea plantations, visit the tea factory at Glenloch and enjoy at the wilderness of Horton Plains.

  • Day 9:

    Yala National Park We enjoy game drives in search of wildlife such as elephant and its famous leopards.

  • Days 10 - 11:

    Galle A scenic coastal journey brings us to the historic Dutch city of Galle. From December to April there's the option to go whale-watching.

  • Days 12 - 13:

    At the beach We end our trip with 2 days in relaxing Beruwala, right by the beach, with time to take it easy or take the train into Colombo for some last minute shopping.

  • Day 14:

    Tour ends in Beruwala.
