Overview for Maldives
On arrival at Malé
A representative from the resort or tour company meets all travellers in the Arrivals Hall, and you may have to wait for other travellers arriving off different flights. Night arrivals spend a night at the airport hotel or in Malé.
To reach your resort, you are either transferred by boat or seaplane. They will also collect your outward flight ticket, so they can reconfirm flights, and tickets are always returned before clients check out. This is standard procedure.
Speedboat & Seaplane Transfers
The cost of these transfer services are in addition to the accommodation costs.
Honeymooners
The majority of the Maldives resorts featured by Adventure World have Honeymoon packages available: one example is - a complimentary spa treatment for two, a complimentary bottle of champagne on arrival, a complimentary candlelit dinner for two and a commemorative photo album.
Bonus Offers
At certain times of the year a number of the resorts have Stay Pay Deals.
Snorkelling & Diving
Most of the Maldives marine life can be seen by snorkelers at depths of just a few metres, as the water absorbs red and yellow light. If your resort is surrounded by reef, snorkelling is easier, as you just step out of your accommodation and swim out to the reef surrounding your island to view the colourful marine life. The resorts also offer boat trips to other sites.
The Maldives are a world-renowned scuba-diving destination, due to the warm water, visibility over 25m and the professional dive centres. There are hundreds of recognised and named dive sites and quite a few are accessible from the nearby resorts. Best months for diving are January to April.

When to go:
Best time to visit is during the north-east monsoon period between Dec and Apr. The weather is hot and dry with only the occasional shower. Feb and Dec tend to be the busiest months. During the south-west monsoon period between May and Oct, it is windier, wetter and more humid. May and Jun are particularly wet.
