Itinerary

  • Day 1: Delhi – Agra

    Travel by road from Delhi to the vibrant city of Agra. Stop on the way at Sikandrato see the massive tomb of Akbar. Tour the highlights, including the celebrated Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Stay overnight at The Gateway Hotel.

  • Day 2: Agra – Jaipur

    Departing Agra, stop at Fatehpur Sikri to explore this magnificent fortified ghost city built in 1569 by Emperor Akbar. Continue to Jaipur, arriving later in the afternoon to stay two nights at the Alsisar Haveli.

  • Day 3: Jaipur

    Visit the Amber Fort on the back of a brightly coloured elephant. In the afternoon, tour Jaipur’s sights, including the City Palace Museum and the Palace of the Winds.

  • Day 4: Jaipur – Mandawa

    Travel north along the ancient trading route to Mandawa. Later, tour this charming market town before retiring to the stunning Castle Mandawa for your overnight stay.

  • Day 5: Mandawa – Bikaner

    Continue by road to the desert town of Bikaner, exploring the town’s sights and Junagarh Fort. Stay overnight in the splendid Lallgarh Palace.

  • Day 6: Bikaner – Jaisalmer

    Journey by road to the ancient desert city of Jaisalmer. This breathtaking city is the archetypal desert destination. Stay two nights at Gorbandh Palace with spectacular views of the fort. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

  • Day 7: Jaisalmer

    Morning city tour, visiting Jaisalmer Fort, and round off the day with a sunset camel ride.

  • Day 8: Jaisalmer – Jodhpur

    Travel by road to Jodhpur, the Blue City. Visit Mehrangarh Fort and the streets of the old bazaar. Overnight at the Ajit Bhawan Palace, home to descendants of the Jodhpur Royal Family.

  • Day 9: Jodhpur

    Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
