Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrive Delhi

    Upon arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, The Oberoi Maidens, for two nights.

  • Day 2: Delhi

    A full day tour of Old and New Delhi, taking in the Red Fort, Raj Ghat and one of the largest mosques in India, Jama Masjid. After lunch, continue to India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb and the tallest stone tower in India, Qutab Minar.

  • Day 3: Delhi – Varanasi

    Transfer to the airport for your flight to Varanasi, situated on the banks of the holy river Ganges, a religious destination for the Hindu community. Visit the nearby buried Buddhist city of Sarnath where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon. Stay at the Ramada Plaza for one night.

  • Day 4: Varanasi – Khajuraho

    Take a dawn boat ride on the Ganges for an unmatched view of the various ghats and the ceremonies performed by devout Hindus. In the afternoon, fly to Khajuraho and visit the world’s finest temple art. Overnight at the Ramada Khajuraho.

  • Day 5: Khajuraho – Agra

    Journey by road to Jhansi to board the day train to Agra. Stay for two nights at the Hotel Clarks Shiraz.

  • Day 6: Agra

    Morning tour of Agra, taking in the legendary Taj Mahal and its intricate marble decorations. The tour also includes the beautiful Agra Fort with its marble palaces.

  • Day 7: Agra – Jaipur

    Depart for Jaipur by road, with a stop along the way at Fatehpur Sikri, the fortified ghost city built in 1569 by Emperor Akbar as his capital. Arrive at the Mansingh Towers for a two night stay.

  • Day 8: Jaipur

    Full day tour of Jaipur, including the Maharaja’s City Palace, the Palace of the Winds and Jai Singh’s Astrological Observatory. Ride an elephant to reach the magnificent Amber Fort.

  • Day 9: Jaipur – Bikaner

    Depart by road for Bikaner. Visit the Shekhawati region on the way, famous for its beautifully painted frescoes on the village walls. Overnight in the splendid Lallgarh Palace.

  • Day 10: Bikaner – Jaisalmer

    Morning tour of Bikaner, including the impressive Junagarh Fort. In the afternoon, travel by road to Jaisalmer. Stay for two nights at the architecturally exquisite Fort Rajwada.

  • Day 11: Jaisalmer

    Morning tour of Jaisalmer, visiting Sonar Fort. This afternoon is free to relax and explore. End the day with a desert camel ride.

  • Day 12: Jaisalmer – Jodhpur

    Depart by road for Jodhpur. Afternoon tour of this walled city, including the stunning hilltop Meherangarh Fortress. Overnight at the Ajit Bhawan.

  • Day 13: Jodhpur – Udaipur

    Travel by road to Udaipur. Visit the Jain temple complex at Ranakpur. Afternoon is at your leisure. Stay for two nights at the Trident Hotel.

  • Day 14: Udaipur

    Morning tour of Udaipur, including the ornate City Palace, Jagdish Temple and the Sajjan Niwas Garden.

  • Day 15: Udaipur – Delhi

    Fly to Delhi. You may wish to stay longer in Delhi or extend your tour visiting the Himalayan wonderland of Nepal.
