Within the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh are the Kanha, Banghavgarh and Pench National Parks. Kanha, one of India's largest National Parks, hosts herds of animals and is prime tiger country. The teak jungle of Pench National Park was the backdrop for Kipling's The Jungle Book and where David Attenborough filmed the famous documentary "Tiger: Spy in the Jungle", Bandhagarh has dramatic landscape, an ancient 2000 year old fort, 10th century statue of Lord Vishnu and a dense Sal jungle.

Tour Details

  • Day 1:Delhi – Nagpur – Kanha

    Fly from Delhi to Nagpur then drive to Kahna. Arrival at midday to stay three nights at the Tuli Tiger Resort. Afternoon jungle walk through Sal forests, large bamboo stretches and lush green meadows. (L)(D)

  • Day 2-3: Kanha

    Embark on morning and afternoon jeep safaris into Kanha National Park – the star success story of the conservation effort Project Tiger launched in 1973. Regularly spotted species include the three-striped palm squirrel, common Langur, jackal, wild pig and black buck. Among other residents are striped hyena, leopard, mouse deer, porcupine, Chinkara gazelle, ant-eating pangolin, Sambar, chital and the highly endangered deer, the Hard-ground Barasingha. (B)(L)(D)

  • Day 4-6: Kanha – Bandhavgarh

    Transfer to Bandhavgarh where you will spend two nights seeking out the Bengal Tiger through dramatic landscape of tropical forests and hilly terrains. Bandhavgarh National Park is a 450 km sq renowned tiger reserve. (B)(L)(D)

  • Day 6-7: Bandhavgarh - Pench

    Spend two nights in Pench. Explore the teak forests and open country of Pench National Park on morning and afternoon jeep safaris. Bisected by the meandering Pench river, the park supports a rich variety of wildlife including tiger, leopard, wild dog, Sambar and chital deer and brilliant birdlife. The park’s open habitat not only lends itself to wildlife viewing, but it also offers striking views of the area’s sheer beauty. (B)(L)(D)

  • Day 8: Pench – Nagpur – Delhi

    This is your last opportunity to explore this fantastic National Park before your afternoon drive to Nagpur. (B)
