Itinerary

  • Day 1: Shanghai

    On arrival, transfer to your hotel.

  • Day 2: Shanghai

    Sightseeing includes a visit to the Yu Garden and Bazaar, the Bund with its stunning architecture and the Jade Buddha Temple, one of Shanghai's few active Buddhist temples. In the evening watch a performance of the Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe. B, L.

  • Day 3: Shanghai - Zhouzhuang

    Morning at leisure before transferring to the famous water town of Zhouzhuang. Stay in a converted old house and enjoy a guided walk around the old town. L, D.

  • Day 4: Zhouzhuang – Xiamen

    Explore the tranquil water town at leisure before the rush of tourists’ arrival. Transfer to Shanghai airport for a fl ight to Xiamen. B, L.

  • Day 5: Xiamen – Tulou

    Travel to Tulou to see the magnifi cent architecture of the earthen houses. Several storeys high, they are built on a circular or square plan and house up to 800 people. B, L, D.

  • Day 6: Tulou – Kaiping

    Uncover more of Tulou’s secrets before lunch and then travel by vehicle and plane to Kaiping. B, L.

  • Day 7: Kaiping

    Explore the fortified multi-storey towers at Daiolou, with over 1800 tower houses evident in the village. B, L.

  • Day 8: Kaiping – Hong Kong

    Transfer to Guangzhou, then travel by train to Hong Kong where your tour concludes. B.
