Itinerary

  • Day 1: Shanghai

    Transfer to the hotel on arrival.

  • Day 2: Shanghai

    An afternoon Shanghai city tour to the Shanghai and Urban Planning Museums, People's Square and Jinmao Tower. This evening see the incredible Shanghai Acrobats. B.

  • Day 3: Suzhou

    Travel to the ancient water town of Suzhou. Visit the Humble Administrator's Garden and see the Masters of the Nets evening show. B.

  • Day 4: Yangshuo

    Fly to Guilin and transfer to Yangshuo. B.

  • Day 5: Yangshuo

    Ride bikes along small tracks past stunning rice paddies. En-route enjoy an easy bamboo rafting trip. B.

  • Day 6: Cruise – Chongqing

    Fly to Chongqing followed by a half-day city tour before joining the 4 star Yangtze River cruise at 10pm. B.

  • Day 7: Cruise – Fengdu

    Shore excursion at Fengdu to visit Ghost City. B L D.

  • Day 8: Cruise – Daning River, Xiling Gorge, ship locks

    This excursion takes us up a tributary on a small vessel to see the changes resulting from the dam project. Later enter the Xiling Gorge, the longest (65 km), and the deepest of the Three Gorges. This evening sail through the Three Gorges ship locks. B L D.

  • Day 9: Yichang – Xian

    Morning visit to the Three Gorges Dam followed by a tour of Yichang. Transfer to join the overnight soft sleeper train to Xian. B.

  • Day 10: Xian

    A highlight today, visit the Terracotta Warriors followed by a walking tour of the Grand Mosque and Xian city walls. Tonight enjoy a traditional dumpling banquet. D.

  • Day 11: Xian – Beijing

    Free day to explore this ancient city. Options include the Wild Goose Pagoda or Baxian Gong. Join the overnight soft sleeper train to Beijing. B.

  • Day 12: Beijing

    Visit Tiananmen Square and Gate and the spectacular Forbidden City with its magnificent marble courtyards and ornate pavilions. The afternoon is free to explore. B.

  • Day 13: Beijing

    Travel north to The Great Wall to Gubeikou. This evening enjoy a traditional Peking Duck dinner. B D.

  • Day 14: Beijing

    Transfer to the airport for the flight home. B.
