• Day 1: Lhasa

  On arrival, transfer to your accommodation. Take time to rest and acclimatise this afternoon at the city’s high altitude. Overnight at St Regis Lhasa Resort.

• Day 2: Lhasa

  Explore the holy Jokhang Temple, the region’s most significant. Pilgrims flock from all over Tibet to worship here and to walk to the Barkhor Circuit that circumambulates the temple. Spend time here watching the pilgrims, joining in their path or just sit down and soak up the atmosphere. End the day with Sera Monastery where monks passionately debate the Buddhist scriptures. • Day 3: Lhasa

  Potala Palace was once the winter home of the Dalai Lama, and is now Tibet’s most important tourism site and also on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Enjoy the expansive outlook before revelling in some free time to delve into the depths of the Tibetan Quarter to uncover more treasures of Lhasa. Overnight at St Regis Lhasa Resort. (B,L)  

• Day 4: Lhasa

  Touring concludes today with a transfer to the airport or train station. (B)
