Kathmandu Valley
Here you will visit some very interesting World Heritage sites. and be treated to a feast at one of Kathmandu's finest Nepali restaurants. In the ancient part of this fascinating city is Durbar Square with its palaces and Newari architecture. Then to the holy Buddhist temple Swayambunath, the famous 'monkey temple'.
Annapurnas, Whitewater and The Peaceful Dragon
You begin with the Annapurna trek and two fun-filled rafting days as described in 'Introduction to Adventure'. A free day in Kathmandu precedes the Himalayan flight which whisks you into another time, the Land of the Thunder Dragon. A full day's tour of the colourful Paro Valley, including a hike to Taktsang the Tigers' Nest is next and is followed by a once-in-a-lifetime trek through pristine forests as described in 'Best of Bhutan'. A guided tour and free time allow you to explore Thimpu, the capital, before another spectacular return flight to Kathmandu. There is more than enough time to sample the delights of this exotic city as well.
