Day 1: Johannesburg – Kruger Area
Depart for the province of Mpumalanga via the historic towns of Witbank, Dullstroom and Lydenburg. Visit Lone Creek Waterfalls before arriving at your elegant hideaway, Lone Creek River Lodge or similar.

Day 2: Kruger Area
After an early breakfast, enter Kruger National Park. Continue to your private game lodge, Makalali or similar. Evening game drive in an open 4WD.

Day 3: Kruger National Park
After an early morning game walk or drive travel via the Panoramic Route. Overnight at the Protea Hotel Kruger Gate or similar.

Day 4: Kruger Area – Zululand
Travel via Swaziland and the Lebombo Mountains to the Protea Hotel Hluhluwe or similar.

Day 5: Durban
Early morning game drive in a closed vehicle in Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve, followed by a visit to Isimangaliso Wetland Park, a World Heritage Site, and enjoy a river cruise on the estuary. Continue to Durban.

Instead of travelling straight to Durban, enjoy a night’s stay at Shakaland – a traditional Zulu ‘Umuzi’ or homestead, which is the shared home of the Zulus with luxury ‘beehive hut’ guest accommodation. Your stay will include dinner and breakfast. Continue to Durban mid-morning on day six.
