Southern African Magic Overland Tour with Acacia

Itinerary

• Day 1: Johannesburg – Mpumalanga

  Leaving Johannesburg, enter picturesque Mpumalanga and visit Blyde River Canyon and the Three Rondavels. Later visit an animal orphanage, before travelling through a private game reserve to camp on the banks of the Oliphants River. Experience your first glimpse of wild Africa tonight, as animals come to the river to drink and possibly wander through the camp - an exciting way to start the safari!

• Day 2-3: Kruger National Park

  Join a river cruise along the banks of the Oliphants. Continue to the world renowned Kruger National Park. Enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives.

• Day 4-7: Kruger National Park – Livingstone

  Travel towards the border of Botswana to visit the Polokwane Game Reserve. Cross into Zambia via Botswana and set up camp just outside Livingstone. The camp sits beside the wide Zambezi River a few kilometres upstream from Victoria Falls. Visit the Falls and try some of the optional activities available here.

• Day 8-12: Livingstone – Chobe National Park – Okavango Delta

  Return to Botswana and camp near Chobe National Park, where you can take a 4WD game drive and/or game cruise in the Park (optional extras). Continue to the beautiful Okavango Delta. Spend two days exploring the maze of channels and waterways by dug-out canoe and on foot.

• Day 13-14: Okavango Delta – Johannesburg

  Drive south and visit the Khama Rhino Sanctuary, established to breed both white and black rhino. Enjoy a game drive and learn a little of the conservation of these magnificent creatures. Continue to Johannesburg where the tour ends.
